Prytania's asset management activities are led by Chief Investment Officer, Mark Hale. Mark's extensive experience of investing in the structured finance asset class and as a Bank of England economist provide considerable depth and insight to the Prytania investment process. Current assets under management total USD 1 billion.
The key strengths of our investment process are:
- A specialist structured finance and credit investment manager with dedicated experts
- A global approach to asset selection, unshackled by pre-determined asset types, sectors or regions
- An independently developed investment strategy that allows for both market trends and contrarian opportunities
Asset selection is a combination of qualitative strategy and quantitative analytical methods. Prytania utilizes the proprietary analytical tools it has developed since its inception to provide additional insight into the risk and value embedded in complex investment products to complement its house economic and product research views.
The house views of Prytania's investment team cover most sectors and asset classes within structured finance and credit, predominantly in the US and Europe. These views are necessary to assess the potential future performance of securities based on portfolios of underlying risky credit assets. Among the views we develop and maintain are asset price expectations, sectoral default and prepayment expectations and levels of default correlation between asset types.
The types of asset management services we provide include:
- Investment funds for new capital investors
- Separate account management for new capital investors
- Separate account management for existing portfolios of structured finance and credit assets
